Pine flooring, if not correctly maintained will start to appear dull and worn, and their improper care is likely to cause damage to the floor.

Remember to perform pine floor maintenance on a regular basis so to it in pristine condition.

What you’ll need:

  • Broom
  • Cotton rags
  • Cotton towels
  • Mop
  • Spray bottle
  • 30 oz. water
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar

Remember to sweep pine floors with a broom at frequent intervals – pay attention to areas that are heavy with people walking by.

Creating your own solution will involve mixing 1/4 cup white vinegar with 30 oz. water in a spray bottle. Spray a cotton rag or towel with the solution and mop the pine floor with the cloth.

If there are areas with tough dirt on them, spray the solution directly on to the area and then wipe with a clean towel.

Mop up any spills with a damp cloth and dry.

An extra tip is to mop the floor with a wood cleaner twice a year using a new mop and proceed to dry the floor with large cotton towels!
